Hidden Facts You Need To Know About Squid Game, Their Costumes And What They Mean.

Squid is Game is a popular South Korean thiller that is based on survival. The drama series was created by “Hwang Dong Hyuk” for Netflix. It’s other genres are Horror, Drama and Action.

The show revolves around Children games “Red light, Green light or Tug of war”—Where the losers are evicted and then murdered. Yes, you read that right. It’s participants are shot when they loose the game. The winner of all six games walks away with a whooping sum of $45.6 billion. A tempting prize for contestants who are in massive debts.
Apart from its intriguing premises, the fans are also intrigued by the casting and costumes of all the nine episodes series. Featuring celebrities like Ho Yeon Jung, a top model who appeared on the runway at Channel and Louis Vuitton. The show mainly relies on fashion to send certain messages concerning the characters and the plot.
Most importantly the costume worn by Squid Game characters /contestants and guards were fascinating and can never be forgotten so easily by the viewers. They looked quite casual yet their colors holds a deeper meaning that tells us about the plot twists and turns.

To the players, the Squid Game costume looks like an outfit you can put on to run errands or go to the Theatre. The outfit consists of a “Teal Tracksuit” with each of the contestants number written boldly on it both at the back and front with a pair of “White Slip On Sneakers.”
Unlike the childhood games which results into fun, Squid games result in mass murder. The casual fashion in Squid game is used to create tension. A survival game should be welcomed by a “Military inspired or armor like uniform” but, in place of that, it is replaced with a relaxed outfit that seems out of place for a survival game adding to the thrill of the series.

The colors of the Squid Game costumes serves a goal. The “Teal” signifies peace and rebirth, blending with “the soothing properties of blue with the renewal qualities of green” according to Canva. It’s is described as a “revitalizing and rejuvenating color that means open communication and clarity of thoughts” which we find lacking amongst the contestants through out the series.

The Squid Game u
guards are not left out. Their Costumes also holds deeper meaning as well. Their “Hooded jumpsuits” seem menacing but the color itself is not. Though hot pink is an energetic and provocative shade but according to Canva again, “Pink generally evokes notions of sensitivity, sweetness and romance.” It’s not a mood for that might be associated with a survival game that could end in mass murder.
Though some viewers got the wrong interpretation of the of the Squid Game guards costume to be red but red symbolizes battle, courage and anger according to Live Science. The “black zippers, belts and masks” are used to emphasize the guards authority and perhaps their depravity as well. Their “black opaque masks are just as intimidating as you’d expect.

The “white circle, triangle or square” on the front of each masks resembles the buttons of a PlayStation controller. The buttons do speak of how the series is one big horrifying game. Each of them represents letters of the Korean alphabet. The “circle” is the letter O, the “triangle” is part of the letter J and the “square” is the letter M “OJM” are the initials for the Korean name of Squid Game “Ojingeo Geim.” The guards as well as the Vips wear these masks to protect themselves and are they are killed if these masks are removed.

Why Mental Health Education Is Crucial.

How mental health Education has contributed to the society

Mental health refers to the emotional well being of a person.

Mental health issues can pose a huge problem to people and the society at large

Mental disorders can lead to many academic problems, such as poor attendance, difficulties with academic, poor social integration, trouble adjusting to school, problems with behavior regulation, and attention and concentration issues. High school students who screen positive for psychosocial dysfunction report three times as many absent and tardy days as students who do not identify dysfunction, and students with high levels of psychosocial stress are much more likely to view themselves as academically incompetent. This leads to much higher dropout rates and lower overall academic achievement,[2] as well as specific academic and social problems associated with various disorders.

The same goes with the society…it affects the growth of the society at large thereby, leading to break down of the society

That is why it is important to raise awareness in schools, organizations and the society at large

Mental health education has created awareness in schools since young people are seriously affected with mental issues every day…it has helped schools to initiate changes and get as many people, students and teachers to work on raising mental issues

It has helped the society bro know the problem they are having

It has also encouraged people to open up about it and look for help

It has helped other peers with similar or other mental problem

It has also helped people to detect the early signs and how to prevent it

In conclusion, mental health education has proven to be the only alternative to reduce mental issues in the society and ensure the better well being of each member of the society.

WILL THERE EVER BE A CLASSLESS SOCIETY? WILL THE PROLETARIAT EVER SPEAK UP AGAINST THEIR OPPRESSORS; THE BOURGEOISIE?

Will There Ever Be A Classless Society?

Will The Proletariat Ever Rise Up Against Their Oppressors; The Bourgeoisie?

“You can’t get married to her she is not our class!!” Mom said.

“I can’t be friends with her she is not from a rich background like me” I told my friends.

Now, I believe many of us would have come across the above statements and even similar ones that were not mentioned here either during our day to day activities, in the movies or someone must have even said this to us. I wont say it’s normal but it’s almost normal. I don’t want to believe that a classless society can only exist in the movies and in our thoughts and imaginations.

Now that brings us back to our topic; Will there ever be a classless society? In my own opinion or point of view, I will say yes and at the same time, I will say yes to that question it all depends on we the masses. Why do I say no?

I believe it’s not possible for us to have a classless society because;

1 Greed: we can’t deny among the Proletariat, that are wishing to have a classless society, we have some that are greedy in the sense that for example let’s say a group of people are protesting about bad governance or embezzlement. There are still some set of people among those protesters who will sell their rights and hope for betterment of that protest for either money or luxury. Now when a certain Mr. A gives a certain Mr. B among these protesters let’s say money by telling him that if he wants more, he should bring more people among the protesters to him that he (Mr. A) would give them money including Mr. B so they can stop the protest. Imagine when 50% of these protesters who were once so cooperated to fight for betterment gets divided what do you think will happen? The 50% left will lose hope and in the process, the protest goal won’t be achieved.

2 There can’t be a classless society because no matter the occupation one is involved in, it is for the good of the society. Everyone whether rich or poor, we benefit from each other unknowingly. The lawyers benefit from the cobblers, the doctors benefit from the butchers, the hairdressers benefit from the cobblers so also the railway builders benefit from the pharmacists and so on.

In the sense that, when everyone is educated, when everyone is only involved in white collar jobs like the lawyers, the doctors, the nurses, etcetera who will do the other jobs? Who take care of our other needs? Everyone will be feeling too big to help each other. They will have a mindset that there is nothing Mr. A has that I don’t have so why should I stoop myself so low to this for him/her?

3 A classless society can not exist because, even in our holy book take for instance the bible there were scenarios, stories we came across that involved the rich and poor, poor and poor, rich and rich. Everyone was not equal there was still a class among them.

4 A classless society cannot exist because, even amongst the Proletariat (the middle class and the poor), we still have two classes existing among us. This classes are called the “Middle class” and “the poor”. Even among the middle class, there are some people who don’t want the poor to get to their level. They don’t want to be seen with them. When we are enemies to ourselves, when we are envious of each other betterment or progress there is no way we can have a change. Even the rich the bourgeoisie help themselves they spend with their circle, they are seen among their circle, they think within their circle most of them do almost everything within their circle. So, why won’t they get richer and we the Proletariats get poorer or remain in the same position when we are envious of each other?

5. Another reason why there can’t be a classless society is that the Proletariat don’t think like the Bourgeoisie and the Bourgeoisie don’t think the same way the Proletariat. For instance a poor man thinks only about his basic needs that is food, shelter and clothing once they have that they feel they are contented. It’s rare for them to think more than that but, the rich will think of how to get more money, how to acquire more luxuries and even if possible, the think of how to even get hold of the little ones the poor man has gotten to add to his own. Where and what the poor man thinks is far from where the rich man thinks he(the rich man) can only think of how to get rich the more.

I will then move to the reason why I said yes we can have a classless society. Like I said earlier, it all depends on us. Our mindset and all. We can have a classless society when we imbibe the attribute of cooperation in us. Either when protesting, when campaigning or the likes. When our mind is set on only the goal we hope to get, I believe the world will be a better place.

Another reason we can have a classless society is that if everyone can come clean and be true to what we are doing for instance, if the rich and the poor pay their taxes regularly and without anyone left out, those taxes will be used for the good of the society. Everyone would benefit from it. If those taxes are gathered without anyone hiding or keeping a part of it for personal reasons, the goal that tax been paid for by everyone will be aimed. If the goal is to build a government primary or secondary school or to building a hospital, I believe the poor who aren’t able to afford taking their children to school will benefit from it. The school or hospital that was built was as a result of the cooperation put to work.

In conclusion, the battle between the “Haves” and the “Have not” that is the Bourgeoisie and the Proletariat, the motive behind all social and political activities like religion, government, science, media, technology, education and so on between the “Haves” and the “Have not” is to get and keep economic power. The Proletariat who perform manual labor and who live in substandard area with low lifestyles, these same people are the ones working for the rich to make them richer yet, the so called workers live in the ghettos without adequate health care, no education, no hope for the future and yet, they give room for differences in religion, ethnicity, gender to separate them. I believe and also just as the Marxist believe, that one day, the Proletariat will rise up against their Oppressors the Bourgeoisie and create a classless society. Once again it all depends on our mindset and determination to work towards it both the Bourgeoisie and the Proletariat.

Ordeal Of A Barren Woman

Ordeal Of a Barren Woman.

“Madam, we have a situation on ground a very serious one at that!”

“Doctor, I hope it’s nothing bad?” I asked

“It depends on you but to me, I think it’s  a good news a very good one at that”

“Okay go on…

“You are three weeks pregnant!”

I was shocked for some seconds then I smiled.

“Of course it’s a good news doctor” I answered.

“Do you know how long I have waited for this child?”

Oh, the pain!

Oh, the depression!

Oh, those lonely and silent years!

Oh, those lonely nights I wake up late at night praying and crying to the heavens to come to my aid!

Oh, those thoughts and moments I felt like committing suicide!

I was ready to end it all. Maybe when I am gone from this wicked world I will feel better.

Oh, the way I was always looked at with disgust on people’s face!

I was already sure they have tainted me bad, evil, a witch that that has sacrificed her unborn children to the coven in exchange for either wealth and good luxuries of life. The shame and ridicule I went through just    because my friends with whom I wedded with were already pregnant after a few months and I wasn’t? In our society today, it’s like we the women we are always spied on. Everything we do, there are people that their sole job is to watch us and they always give a comment. When a lady doesn’t get married on time, they either say she has misused her life when she was young or there is a problem with her.

Then, when you get married, they wait next for you to say “oh Mummy or oh Aunty I am pregnant” after some weeks of your wedding. When you don’t say  this, they give you little time by assuming that “maybe they are not ready to give birth yet or they are not ready” but after a year, you become the talk of the town. They will start calling you names and tainting your image. It’s always the women that go through most of all this ill treatment. The men are stylishly exempted.

As this thoughts rub through my mind, I felt tears dropping down my cheeks. I smiled, they were tears of joy mixed with a certain feeling I couldn’t define. I looked at the doctor’s face I realized I wasn’t even listening to him again and he seemed to have  realized that.

“Sorry doctor I was deep in my thoughts I wasn’t listening but thanks for this news and of course, this is a good news I must say and I can’t wait to share it to my loved ones.” I replied.

I collected the envelope from him and left the office with a smile still plastered on my face. All of a sudden I felt this sudden joy and courage in me. This news has uplifted my spirit and I was ready to deliver it far and near. At this rate, I was ready to conquer any obstacle that came my way.

I bounced out of the office with pride. With only one thought in mind that; I Juliet, I am going to show them that I was not alone in this all this while. I was never alone and I will never be alone because I believe that, everyone has his or her own time of shine and when your time comes, no one and I mean no one can stop it. It will just like place without any force or stress added to it!

Trauma of a young girl.

Trauma of a young girl….

“Help!”

“Help!!”

“Help!!!” I screamed from the dark, stuffy room he locked me.

He is a bastard! A devil! An animal!

Animal? That’s  even an understatement animals don’t do this cruel things to their loved ones do they? It is even said that animals are better than human beings.

Why did he marry her since he knew he was not going to love her forever? Why did he marry her when he knows his love for her was never going to be enough?

“Please help…” I continued crying for help as tears ran down my cheeks.

My voice was getting faint due to all the screaming and cries for help. I was tired! I was weak! I was hungry! I was angry!

Why does she still love him? Why does she still put up with him despite all he is doing to her? Despite the maltreatment and shame he is putting her through?

LOVE, those four letter words. Those four powerful letter words simple but can make anyone foolish to the core. What was she thinking? What was going through her mind? Does she think he was going to change one day? Or is she hoping he would?

My sweet Mom, loving mom, beautiful mom. He has made her his punching bag. He has turned her into a object of shame in the neighborhood. All he ever does was come home, beat his wife, steal the little money she makes from her petty sales. Even when she presents food to him, he either complains that the food was not okay or just throw it on her. Food he didn’t even provide the money for. That ingrate!!

What type of father beats his wife to a pulp and abuses his fourteen years old daughter as well? Only a devil does that! He raped me at a tender age of ten. Ever since then he has continued abusing me without any shame or mercy. I could still remember that day vividly.

It was a very hot afternoon. I just got back home from school. I  My mom was not at home. I went to the kitchen to find something to eat but there was nothing edible for me to eat. Then, i checked my dad’s room only to find it open. I was glad that someone was at home. I checked outside for him but I didn’t see him then, I went back inside only to find him inside in clad in only towels. I assumed he was going to take his bath but then he started coming towards me.

At first I thought he just wanted to take something when I was standing but he got close to me and grabbed me by the shoulder and carried me to his room. I cried and pleaded for help but it was futile. What happened next was what I never want to talk about. After an hour or so, he came out of the room, went to the living room, took some money, went back inside his room and threw it on me saying I should go and get something to eat. Now tell me, what type of father rapes his tired, hungry and weak ten years old daughter even threatening to deal with her if she ever tries to talk about it with anyone?

He has caused me so much trauma all I have left in me for him is hate, disgust and hate nothing else. I don’t think this feeling of hatred I have for him will ever dissipate. He has made me hate the male specie. No matter how nice they try to be, I only assume it’s a facade. It can never be real!

It hurts so much that the more I thought about it, the more tears run down my cheeks but there was nothing I could do about it. Will this pain ever end?
