How mental health Education has contributed to the society
Mental health refers to the emotional well being of a person.
Mental health issues can pose a huge problem to people and the society at large
Mental disorders can lead to many academic problems, such as poor attendance, difficulties with academic, poor social integration, trouble adjusting to school, problems with behavior regulation, and attention and concentration issues. High school students who screen positive for psychosocial dysfunction report three times as many absent and tardy days as students who do not identify dysfunction, and students with high levels of psychosocial stress are much more likely to view themselves as academically incompetent. This leads to much higher dropout rates and lower overall academic achievement,[2] as well as specific academic and social problems associated with various disorders.
The same goes with the society…it affects the growth of the society at large thereby, leading to break down of the society
That is why it is important to raise awareness in schools, organizations and the society at large
Mental health education has created awareness in schools since young people are seriously affected with mental issues every day…it has helped schools to initiate changes and get as many people, students and teachers to work on raising mental issues
It has helped the society bro know the problem they are having
It has also encouraged people to open up about it and look for help
It has helped other peers with similar or other mental problem
It has also helped people to detect the early signs and how to prevent it
In conclusion, mental health education has proven to be the only alternative to reduce mental issues in the society and ensure the better well being of each member of the society.
